James A. 'Jim' Pabian (April 14, 1909July 23, 1996) was an American screenwriter and director of short films.

Pabian worked as an artist for Dell Comics in the 1940s and '50s, including Disney comics such as "Bambi and Thumper" and "The Flying Mouse". He also did some of his earliest animation freelance work for Disney and animated the 1938 Silly Symphony animated short, Merbabies.
