James Eugene "Jim" Carrey (born January 17, 1962) is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, impressionist, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his films such as Dumb and Dumber and its sequel, The Mask, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (and its sequel: When Nature Calls), Batman Forever, The Cable Guy, Liar Liar, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and Bruce Almighty.

For Disney, he voiced Ebenezer Scrooge, in all his various forms, as well as all three of the ghosts in the 2009 Robert Zemeckis adaptation of A Christmas Carol, as well as providing motion capture. He also played adult Joe Wenteworth in the 1998 Hollywood Pictures film Simon Birch.
