Jennifer Lee is an American film director, screenwriter, and film producer for Walt Disney Animation Studios. Lee was a contributor to the script of the 2012 film Wreck-It Ralph. She also contributed to the following 2013 film Frozen, which she co-directed, along with Chris Buck, and returned as co-director with Buck for the 2019 sequel Frozen II, her directorial debut. Lee is the first woman to direct a full-length animated feature film for Disney, and it is also the first time she directed a film herself.
In 2018, Lee became Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, replacing John Lasseter.
Aside from being the co-director and screenwriter of the first Frozen, Lee also voiced Queen Iduna, the mother of Anna and Elsa. Coincidentally, her daughter, Agatha, voiced 9-year-old Anna. For the second film, in which Iduna has a bigger role, Lee was replaced with Evan Rachel Wood.[1]
