Jane Marie Lynch (born July 14, 1960) is an American actress, comedienne, and singer who is best known for her role award-winning role as Sue Sylvester on the Fox musical comedy-drama series Glee since 2009.

She voiced Sergeant Calhoun in the 2012 Disney animated film Wreck-It Ralph. She also voiced Mrs. Johnson in three episodes of the Disney Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb and Jackie Greenway in Handy Manny.

According a November 2010 post by Thewrap.com, Jane Lynch was to appear in the film, The Muppets, as a prison guard. Lynch denied the rumour in a red-carpet interview with MaximoTV.com, but stated that she would enjoy doing so if offered.
