James Howard Woods (born April 18, 1947) is an American actor who voices Hades in the 1997 Disney animated film Hercules and Phillium Benedict in Recess: School's Out.

He has said that he enjoyed voicing Hades so much, that he will always be willing to voice him in any future appearances. He has done so in its animated series, House of Mouse, the Kingdom Hearts series, and Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.
