James Earl Jones (born January 17, 1931) is an American actor who is probably best known as the voice of Darth Vader in the Star Wars saga.

He provided the voice of Mufasa in Disney's The Lion King and its 1998 sequel The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. He was also one of the international hosts in Fantasia 2000. He also hosted The Story Behind The Story: The Lion King on the 2001 2-disc DVD of Beauty and the Beast.
