Professor Jacques Paganel who was played by Maurice Chevalier is one of the main characters the feature film In Search of the Castaways. He's a child-at-heart professor of geography at the University of Paris. He goes to help Mary and Robert Grant find their father Captain Grant of the Britinia. He got involved by fishing and caught a Mako Shark which had the message written by one of the mates of Grant, Bill Gaye. Sometimes when he makes a mistake he admits he's so stupid.
