Igor Stravinsky (June 17, 1882 - April 6, 1971) was a Russian, French, and later American composer, pianist, and conductors, acknowledged one of the most important and influential composers in the 20th century. He was known for his three ballets that performed in Paris: The Firebird (1910), Petrushka (1911), and The Rite of Spring (1913).
He was the only living composer to see Fantasia in the works and premiere. He didn't like Leopold Stokowski's recordings of The Rite of Spring, as the animators cut out some segments of the piece. The Firebird (1919 version) was played in Fantasia 2000 as the last segment.
