James Hugh Calum Laurie, OBE (born June 11, 1959), known as Hugh Laurie, is an English actor, voice artist, comedian, writer, musician, recording artist, and director who is best known for his role as Dr. Gregory House in the Fox medical drama series House from 2004 to 2012.

He played Jasper in the 1996 Disney live-action remake of 101 Dalmatians and voiced Wing Commander Gutsy in the 2005 animated film Valiant. He is set to star as David Nix in the upcoming 2014 Disney science fiction film Tomorrowland, alongside George Clooney.
