Gopher (Winnie the Pooh)

The character of Gopher was first shown in the 1977 animated feature. This character has a habit of whistling out his 's'. He was fleshed out a bit further in the television series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. He is generally hard-working, especially in his tunnels (which he inevitably falls down at least once). There is no mention of him in the original books by A.A. Milne, a fact that pointed out in Many Adventures when he says he's "not in the book". Like Rabbit (Winnie the Pooh) and Owl, he's also a living animal.He also appears to like dynamite and have a problen wih migrating trout filling up his tunnels twice a year.
