Goldie & Bear is a series on Disney Junior. While the series did not premiere on television until September 12 2015, installments of the series were made available beforehand via the network's streaming video mobile-app service.[1] The series is re-imagining of the tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in which Goldilocks and the youngest bear (presented as a bear about Goldilocks's age in the series) become best friends following the incident at the Bear family household (as seen in the original fairytale). The premiere episode is "Giant Among Us; Fetch Skippy Fetch."
Characters from various fairy tales can be seen in the series, including Humpty Dumpty, Little Red Riding Hood, the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf, who is often referred to simply as "Big Bad" and whose behavior is often more simply mischievous than outright harmful.
The two main characters journey through a forest of fairy tale characters and concepts, having adventures that often feature a touch of magic. One instalment sees them finding a baby dragon, in another, they must chase Jack's pet goose, Goosey, who lays golden eggs. Throughout, they rely on their friendship with each other.
On March 4, 2016, the series was greenlit for a second season.[2]
