The Golden Dragon of Unity is a statue of a deity located outside the Imperial Palace. It appears in Mulan II.
Role in the film
In order for Mushu to redeem himself for the problems he caused, and prevent Fa Mulan from marrying Jeeki a prince of Qui Gon, the small, red dragon somehow finds an airhorn, which helps him as he poses himself as the Golden Dragon of Unity. In this guise, he forces Lord Qin to cancel the marriage between Mulan and a Prince, allowing Mulan and Li Shang to marry as planned, along with allowing the princesses to marry who they love.
- Despite its name, the statue appears to be a Chinese guardian lion, given that it has an orb underneath its right paw, a common identifier of the creature in Chinese culture.
