Glenda Veronica "Glenn" Close (born March 19, 1947) is an American actress, producer, and singer, who is well-known for her portrayal of Cruella De Vil in the 1996 live-action remake of Disney's 101 Dalmatians, and its sequel. She also played US Vice President Katheryn Bennet in Air Force One, and provided both the speaking and singing voice of Kala in Disney's 1999 animated feature film, Tarzan, in which she performed "You'll Be in My Heart", a duet with Phil Collins. She reprised her role as Kala in its midquel. She also plays Irana Rael in the 2014 film Guardians of the Galaxy. She is also well-known for her signature "witch-like" laugh and scream, as heard during her portrayal of Cruella De Vil. She is also set to be a producer for the upcoming Cruella film.

Outside of Disney, she is well-known for voicing Granny Puckett in Hoodwinked! and its 2011 sequel.
