"Galactech: The Mystery of the Dinosaurs" is the forty-seventh episode of the Disney Junior animated series Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on March 25, 2017 and is the seventeenth episode in the second season.

Plot[]

In the Stellosphere's hangar, Miles and M.E.R.C. tell Phoebe that the Callistos are ready to race against Loretta's robotic Terra Skiff, which was coded by Loretta, who also programmed it to go fast. Miles says that when it comes to the Callistos, they always get the job done.

The race then begins, and the Callistos race their Terra Skiffs against the robotic Terra Skiff all throughout the Stellosphere, with the Callistos winning the race at the bridge. Admirals Watson and Crick then call, and since the Callistos are too busy having fun, Watson clears his throat to get their attention.

The Admirals inform the Callistos about a TTA colony on a moon called Vertov, which is where Miles' friend Darrah lives. There is something wrong: a very large asteroid is heading for the moon, and it will destroy it once it hits. However, everyone who lives on the moon has been safely evacuated to the Tethoscape. The Admirals task the Callistos to use the Stellosphere to change the course of the asteroid so that it misses the moon. Leo says that changing the course of an asteroid that big has never been done before, since no ship has ever had enough power. After Miles suggests Galactech usage, Loretta thinks that if the Stellosphere activates its shield, the Callistos may be able to move the asteroid, which is approximately six miles across. Leo says that the Callistos do their best, and the Callistos accept the mission. The transmission then ends.

Miles then calls Darrah, who tells him that everyone in the Tethoscape is safe, and are waiting there until they find out if they can go back or not. Miles tells Darrah that the Callistos are on the job. The Callistos then have a visual of Vertov and the large asteroid. After being acknowledged by Phoebe, Stella activates the Stellosphere's Galactech mode and shield.

Leo tries to deflect the asteroid, but it isn't moving, even by one degree. Leo then finds out that there's a limit to what Galactech can do. Phoebe concludes that the asteroid has too much mass. Leo then peels off, and moments later, the asteroid destroys the moon, upsetting the Callistos.

Loretta then finds out that most of the moon fragments are small and harmless, but the biggest one is heading towards Planet Damocles. Miles tells M.E.R.C. that that planet is where Professor Rubicon found dinosaurs that used to live on Earth, and that Angie is the Ankylosaurus that Loretta tried to make friends with in the past. Stella finds out that if the moon fragment hits Damocles, everything on the planet will be destroyed. Deflecting the fragment is not an option because it's even bigger than the asteroid the Callistos couldn't move. Miles decides to get the dinosaurs off the planet. Phoebe then tells Leo to set a course for Rubicon's Trident Research Station.

Miles calls Darrah about the destroyed moon, but Darrah tells him that her mom says that they're going to live on a better moon, one with furry creatures, which Darrah likes. Miles tells Darrah about saving some dinosaurs before their planet gets destroyed.

After picking up Rubicon, the Callistos say that they can't save the dinosaurs without Rubicon's help. Rubicon finds out that there are four dinosaurs living on Damocles. Two are pteranodons, and two are Ankylosauruses, with one of those being Angie. Miles assumes to fit the dinosaurs in the ship, and bring them to a new world, such as the one Rubicon has been researching: Metazoica, one with perfect conditions for them. Rubicon also finds out that certain sounds will make the dinosaurs peaceful and calm, so he made modulators to emit such sounds. Miles can play the tune on his trumpitar, and Loretta can do the same on her accordi-tron. Rubicon approves that plan. Loretta finds out that two hours remain until the fragment hits Damocles.

After the Stellosphere sets course for the planet. Miles wonders how Earth dinosaurs ended up on Damocles. Rubicon says that's still a big mystery. He also says that the universe is full of such mysteries, some of which will never be solved. However, scientists always keep searching for answers, no matter what. With five minutes until the Callistos arrive at Damocles, Miles finds Loretta in her room. Loretta is worried about Angie, and wonders if the Callistos can't save her. Miles tells Loretta that they thought the Callistos would always get the job done, but sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. Regardless, they are good at what they do. It's like Leo says: a mission isn't over until it's over, which motivates Loretta.

The Callistos then arrive at Damocles, and with 52 minutes remaining until the moon fragment hits the planet, the Callistos and Rubicon find the dinosaurs. Leo, Phoebe, and Rubicon then activate their modulators, and Miles and Loretta play their respective instruments. The plan seems to work until Loretta drops her accordi-tron. Miles and M.E.R.C. then chase the dinosaurs until they see many more. Miles then informs Loretta about what he saw, and tells her to get everyone over there.

Once the Callistos and Rubicon arrive at the location, Miles says that getting the dinosaurs off the planet will be harder than they thought. After Angie runs away, Miles assumes the mission to be a failure, but Loretta reminds him of the "mission isn't over until it's over" lesson, and Phoebe says that the Callistos won't give up. Miles and M.E.R.C. get a head count, but then find a big building on the other side of the valley. The Callistos and Rubicon then take the mission rover to check it out.

Once they're there, Miles believes that it is an old starship. Loretta then sees alien markings, which are actually builder symbols. Rubicon then translates what the symbols say: "Build. Reach. Save." Miles says that the builder symbols usually say, "Build. Reach. Connect." This is because the Builders' mission there was different than it was in other places.

This solves the mystery of how Earth dinosaurs came to be on Damocles: the Builders brought them there in the starship. Miles tells Leo that the dinosaurs will be saved if they can get the ship moving again. Even though the ship is 65 million years old, Leo is reminded by Phoebe that he is one ace starship repairman.

Miles then finds the engine room, and Rubicon assumes that the dinosaurs may have ventured through that area at some point. Leo sees that the engines are in good shape. Loretta says that Galactech Globes are how the Builders power all of their engines, and Miles assumes that one of the dinosaurs took off with it.

Loretta then sees something that she saw before: a communications array, back when the Callistos first spoke with a Builder. The array then activates, and Oumou then appears. She is glad to see the Callistos, especially Loretta, again. Loretta then introduces Oumou to Rubicon. Oumou knows his work well. Oumou tells the Callistos that the ship they're on is the Ark Star. The Builders used the ship to save as many dinosaurs as they could before the asteroid hit the Earth, ending their reign there. Leo tells Oumou that history is repeating itself about the moon fragment about to hit Damocles in 38 minutes. Oumou says that to activate the ship, the Callistos need to activate the Galactech Globe. Since one is missing, Miles decides to use the Stellosphere's Galactech Globe, which the Callistos and Oumou like. Oumou says that to assist in leading the dinosaurs into the Ark Star, the Callistos will find light stream vehicles on board. If the Callistos use them to hover over the dinosaurs, the dinosaurs will do the rest. Oumou trusts Rubicon and the Callistos that they will find success.

While Miles and M.E.R.C. get the Galactech Globe, Leo will take a closer look at the engines, Phoebe will search for the bridge, and Loretta and Rubicon will find the light stream vehicles. Miles then returns with the Galactech Globe.

At that time, Loretta and Rubicon still can't find the light stream vehicles, and Rubicon hopes that the dinosaurs didn't make off with them. Phoebe has found the bridge, which she needs to learn to operate. Miles then gives the globe to Leo, and the globe powers the Ark Star once again. The ship then sends out the same tone the modulators make, which is how the Builders kept the dinosaurs calm during their space flight. Just as there is still no sign of the light stream vehicles with 16 minutes remaining until impact, the light stream vehicles appear next to Loretta and Rubicon. Miles assumes that they are like saddles, which means the Callistos will be riding the dinosaurs, which is a dream come true for Miles. Rubicon finds out that the vehicles also emit sounds that calm the dinosaurs.

The Callistos then board the light stream vehicles while Rubicon stays to guide the dinosaurs down to the lower level. With 13 minutes remaining, the Callistos head out of the Ark Star to retrieve the dinosaurs. Eventually, the Callistos gather all of the dinosaurs into the Ark Star. However, one dinosaur, Angie, is missing. Miles finds out that she went down a canyon on the far side of the valley. With the light stream vehicles not being an option, Miles and M.E.R.C. decide to find her themselves.

Leo then decides to head back to the Stellosphere. Miles and M.E.R.C. eventually force Angie back to the Ark Star by guiding her where to go. Once there, Angie is calmed down by the sound of the modulator. With two minutes remaining until asteroid impact, Phoebe seals the hatch, and Loretta guides Angie into her stall.

After being acknowledged by Leo, Stella activates the Stellosphere's engines. The Ark Star then takes off, and Phoebe turns it away from the moon fragment, which then hits Damocles, destroying everything on the planet. The Callistos then celebrate rescuing the dinosaurs.

They then arrive at Metazoica, with Leo complementing Rubicon about how great the planet is for the dinosaurs. The Callistos will make sure the TTA knows Metazoica is their new home. Loretta is still sad about Angie, as Angie doesn't realize the Callistos saved her. However, Miles says that in some way, Angie is saved. Angie then makes friends with Loretta. Miles tells Loretta that a mission isn't over until it's over. After Rubicon says "Build. Reach. Save.", Phoebe says that that is mission accomplished, and the Callistos and Rubicon perform a comet bump.
