"Galactech: How to Build a Robot-Pet" is the first segment of the thirty-third episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on July 11, 2016 alongside "Career Day", and is the first segment of the third episode in the second season.

Plot[]

At night in the Stellosphere, Leo and Phoebe place everyone to sleep. Stella turns off Loretta's coding screens, while Loretta is in the middle of writing a groundbreaking computer program. Next up is Miles and M.E.R.C., who are playing with Blodger. After they are told to go to sleep, M.E.R.C. catapults Miles into bed, impressing Blodger, who wishes he had a robot pet that could to the same. Miles has an idea of Blodger calling his parents in the morning and asking if he could get one. Blodger says that that is a good idea, as he is old enough and responsible, before going to sleep.

In the morning, Bobble and Blibby tell Blodger that a robot pet is a big responsibility, and if he has one, it will be only up to him to care for it, because their hands are full with the twins. Blodger says that he can be responsible for it, and the parents approve, exciting Blodger. Bobble says that whatever robot pet Blodger gets will be very lucky to have him. Phoebe says that there is no problem taking Blodger to the robot pet factory, as the Callistos will pass by there. The Callistos are excited about Blodger having his own robot pet. Leo then tells Stella to set a course for Planet Conmentum, where the robot pet factory is located. Blodger is so excited, that he dances.

The Callistos and Blodger land on Conmentum in the Star Jetter, not noticing a robo-spider crawling through a big snow mountain. Once at the factory, the Callistos are impressed at how great it is, with Leo stating that the factory looks the same as the day the Callistos picked up M.E.R.C. Bibelow then appears, and is welcomed by the Callistos. He also welcomes M.E.R.C. with some Booster Bites. Blodger wants a robo-lion, and Phoebe, Loretta, and Leo notice that they have some errands to run, so they'll pick Miles and M.E.R.C. up in an hour.

During the tour, Bibelow tells Miles and Blodger that moms and dads asked the factory to stop making sharks, dinosaurs, and lions. For Blodger to pick his robot pet, the factory has a special machine that helps him with that. Bibelow then introduces Miles, M.E.R.C., and Blodger to the robot pet maker, which scans you, learns about you, and builds a pet especially for you. Blodger hopes his can run fast, jump high, make him laugh, and tuck him in at night. Blodger is then scanned, and the pet matcher will make his robot pet.

Blodger wonders what it is, and is shocked to see a robo-tortoise, whose name is Sheldon. Blodger says "hi" to Sheldon, who quickly hides. The next step is for Blodger and Sheldon to get to know each other by spending time in the bonding area. Bibelow will check on them, Miles, and M.E.R.C. shortly.

Blodger tries different things to bond with Sheldon, but Sheldon quickly hides. When asked to run fast, Sheldon walks slowly. Blodger gives up hope just as Sheldon digs. Blodger wonders how Sheldon is going to do the cool stuff if he can't even do the easy stuff. Miles gives Blodger different ideas. At that time, Sheldon digs a really big hole, and hears about Blodger wanting to get up the mountain he sees ahead. He thinks Sheldon could never get him there. Blodger thinks that the pet matcher picked the wrong robot pet for him, and decides to get a new one himself, upsetting Sheldon, who walks out of the factory and towards the mountain.

Blodger is told by Miles that every robot pet is different, and that his pet is going to be his pet, and he needs him. Just then, M.E.R.C. notices that Sheldon is gone, because Blodger wasn't using his inside voice when he mentioned about wanting a new robot pet. Bibelow walks in, and is informed by Miles about Sheldon leaving. Bibelow searches inside while Miles, M.E.R.C., and Blodger search outside.

Miles, Blodger, and M.E.R.C. see Sheldon's footprints that lead up the mountain. Eventually, the lose the footprints, and decide to split up. Eventually, Sheldon hears Blodger, and goes to help him. Just then, the robo-spider crawls through the mountain, causing a snow avalanche heading towards Blodger. Miles and M.E.R.C. are not fast enough, but Sheldon is; he uses his wings to rescue Blodger in time. Blodger is impressed about Sheldon flying, but the factory is in danger; the trees won't hold the snow back for long. Miles decides to melt the snow to water, which needs a place to go. Sheldon decides to use his giant drill to make a big hole that goes under the factory. Miles and M.E.R.C. then activate Galactech mode, and use their advanced heat rays to melt the snow into water. Blodger now understands what Sheldon was trying to show him before; that he's good at digging. This is blastastic for someone who likes dirt. Blodger concludes that he and Sheldon are the perfect match.

It's night on the Stellosphere, and Leo and Phoebe tell Miles and M.E.R.C. that they're happy and relieved everything turned out well. Miles says that they couldn't have done so without the robot pets. On the holo-screen, Sheldon tucks himself and Blodger to sleep.
