Frank Wells (March 4, 1932 - April 3, 1994) was an American businessman who served as president of the Walt Disney Company from 1984 until his death in 1994. Disney shareholders Roy E. Disney and Stanley Gold recruited Wells to become Disney's president and chief operating officer along with Michael Eisner as Chairman and CEO, in their bid to Oust CEO/President Ron W. Miller. After his death in 1994 due to a helicopter crash, both the building where the Disney Archives are and The Lion King, which came out in the summer after his death, were dedicated to Wells' memory.
