Winona Laura Horowitz, known professionally as Winona Ryder, is an American actress. She gained recognition for portraying Lydia Deetz in the Tim Burton film Beetlejuice and will reprise her role in the sequel. She has since made appearances in other films, such as Heathers, The Age of Innocence, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Reality Bites, Little Women, Girl, Interrupted, Mr. Deeds, A Scanner Darkly, Star Trek, The Dilemma, and Destination Wedding. She has also done television projects, her most notable being portraying Joyce Byers in Stranger Things.
For Disney, she voiced Elsa Van Helsing in Frankenweenie and played Pat in Haunted Mansion. She also played Patty Vare in the Touchstone Pictures film Boys.
She has also made numerous appearances in 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures productions. She played Kim Boggs in Edward Scissorhands, Abigail Williams in The Crucible, Annalee Call in Alien Resurrection, and Beth MacIntyre in Black Swan.
