"What a Surprise!" is a song from the Johnny and the Sprites episode, "Root's Dadoots". It is performed by John Tartaglia as Johnny and Natalie Venetia Belcon as Johnny's friend, Gwen. It is about how sometimes things that seem like a bad thing can end up leading to a wonderful surprise. It is featured as track 5 on the Johnny and the Sprites music album. The album version includes an extra verse not featured on the television show. Additionally, the character of Root can be heard "dadooting" throughout the song on the television version, while this is absent in the album presentation.
