Marsupilami is a yellow, spotted, long-tailed marsupial and the lead character who appeared in Marsupilami and Raw Toonage, respectively. He lives in the jungle with Maurice. The character was originally created by André Franquin; the cartoon character is greatly different from Franquin's original version.

Marsupilami made his first animated debut on Disney's Raw Toonage. There, He does not only say "HOUBA!" He can actually talk. And has a gorilla sidekick named Maurice.
Bonkers[]
He appeared with Darkwing Duck in the Bonkers episode, "The 29th Page".
Marsupilami (Franquin's version)[]
The original version of Marsupilami lives in South America with his wife and 3 children. In this version, he only says "Houba, houba", but he can mimic people like a parrot.
Instead of Norman, Marsupilami’s human foe is the hunter Brenham Backalive.
Mon ami Marsupilami[]
He appeared in Mon ami Marsupilami. He is based on the Franquin version as he has a wife and three children. He befriends a young boy and his family. Even his human foe Brenham Backalive returned.
Trivia[]
- Marsupilami first appeared in the pages of Franco-Belgian comic Spirou et Fantasio (Spirou and Fantasio). In the comic, Spirou's friend Fantasio must compete in a series of tasks against his evil cousin Zantafio. The final task involved capturing the elusive creature which wounds up being more difficult than they thought. The following stories involve the duo having to deal with the Marsupilami's chaotic characteristics and trying to return it home to Palombia.
