Janet Marie Waldo was an American actress and voice actress, prolific in voice over roles with a career encompassing radio, television, animation, and live-action films. Her Disney roles included the Peasant's Mother in The Return of Jafar, and Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and The Witch in An Adaptation of Dickens' Christmas Carol, Performed by The Walt Disney Players. She can also be heard as the Grandmother in the current version of Carousel of Progress.

Waldo was born in Yakima, Washington and attended the University of Washington, where her performance in a student theatrical garnered her an award and brought her to the attention of Bing Crosby. A Paramount Pictures talent scout signed Waldo for a screen test, which led to a contract with the studio.

Waldo appeared in several films in uncredited bit parts and small roles. Her big break came in radio with a part on Cecil B. DeMille's Lux Radio Theatre. In her radio career, she lent her voice to many programs, including Edward G. Robinson's Big Town, The Eddie Bracken Show, Favorite Story, Four Star Playhouse, and One Man's Family. She also appeared in television shows, such as The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, The Red Skelton Show, People Are Funny, Meet Corliss Archer, and The Lucy Show.

In television animation, she was best known for voicing Judy Jetson, Penelope Pitstop in Wacky Races, Nancy in Shazzan, Josie McCoy in Josie and the Pussycats, and replacing Verna Felton in the role of Pearl Slaghoople in The Flintstones. She also voiced characters in Shazzan, The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show, Thundarr the Barbarian, The Scooby-Doo Show, The Addams Family, The Smurfs, and Tom & Jerry Kids.
