Selena Marie Gomez is an American actress, singer, producer, and businesswoman, who is best known for her recurring role as Gianna in the PBS children's television series Barney & Friends. She is also well-known for her various film roles, such as portraying Waterpark Girl in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (her debut role), Mary Santiago in Another Cinderella Story, Beezus Quimby in Ramona and Beezus (based on Beverly Cleary's Ramona book series), and Madison in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. Additionally, she is known for voicing Helga McDodd in Blue Sky's 2008 adaptation of Horton Hears a Who!, Mavis Dracula in Sony Pictures' Hotel Transylvania franchise, and Betsy the giraffe in Universal Pictures' 2020 film Dolittle. She currently hosts the HBO Max cooking show Selena + Chef.
For Disney, she portrayed Alex Russo in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, Gwen in an episode of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and Mikayla in some episodes of Hannah Montana. She also appeared as herself in an episode of Sonny with a Chance and its spin-off So Random!, as well as guest-starred in Episode 1 of the reality series PrankStars. Additionally, she was mentioned in the Stuck in the Middle episode "Stuck in the Harley Car" and in the MECH-X4 episodes "Let's Call It Mech-X4!" and "Let's Go Clubbing!". She also performed the theme song of Shake It Up, made a cameo as herself in The Muppets, and performed the end credits song for Tinker Bell. She currently stars as Mabel Mora in the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building, in which she also serves as an executive producer.
Gomez is also mentioned and makes a visual cameo in the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur episode "The Beyonder".

- Gomez was best friends with fellow Disney star Demi Lovato. The pair first met in 2002 when they were cast on the children's PBS show Barney & Friends, but on September 29, 2015, Lovato confirmed that they were no longer friends.[1]
