Trivia[]
- He was considered to voice King Stefan in Sleeping Beauty; but while he still did live action reference for the character and provided some additional voice work, the truth regarding the herald's voice actor will never be known or confirmed by the corporation studio, because Conried himself was later replaced with Taylor Holmes as Stefan for the film's final cut.
- He was considered to voice Shere Khan in The Jungle Book until that role was taken by the late George Sanders.
- He was also considered for the role of Barnaby in Babes in Toyland.
- Though little to no sources confirm this, it can be noted that his physical appearance was likely the inspiration for Judge Claude Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and possibly for Queen Uberta’s head butler, Lord Rogers in Richard Rich’s The Swan Princess.
