Hey, every time they run, you take a shot.
―One of the Security Guards[src]

Syndrome's Security Guards are the supporting minor antagonists in 2004 Disney/Pixar animated film The Incredibles.

Background[]

Personalities and traits[]

Like their boss Syndrome, they are cold-hearted mercenaries, because they don't have any regards to human life and they also are cowards, jerks who don't hesitate to kill children.

Physical appearance[]

The guards wear a very tight gray spandex suit, as in several scenes it can be seen that her butt is well defined, which indicates that her tights are very tight. In addition to wearing a protective helmet, which has a visor, this helmet is secured to the sides of their head. They are also wearing rubber boots, and latex gloves, (which are probably sticky)

Vehicules[]

  • Viper: Helicopter-like, VTOL vehicles with ducted fans attached that twist and turn to control the vehicle's altitude and movement. The ducted fans tend to decrease lift when changing the independent blade pitch.
  • Velocipod: Round open cars with four surrounding blades that spin at exceedingly high speeds to keep them airborne.
  • Manta Jets: Specially designed transporters resembling manta rays that have a translucent holographic monitor inside, and can travel underwater.
  • Nomanisan Monorails: These are white egg-shaped monorail train cars used by Syndrome's henchmen that transport them across Syndrome's lair beneath Nomanisan Island. One of the cars has been ripped off by Mr. Incredible, who then throws it at the guards at the security checkpoint, knocking them down, so that he can infiltrate the base.
  • Nomanisan Staff RV: This white-with a blue stripe RV, originally operated by Syndrome's henchmen, was hijacked by the Incredible family near the end of The Incredibles. The family transports the RV to Metroville using one of Syndrome's rockets to stop Syndrome and the Omnidroid from attacking Metroville.

Weaponry and Gadgets[]

  • Machine guns: They use their machine guns to fire at their enemies.
  • Blue Bird: The Blue Bird is a minor antagonistic object who was used by Syndrome and Mirage and themselves.

Role in the film[]

The security guards were hired by Syndrome as his henchmen. They greet Mr. Incredible when he was hired to stop the Omnidroid v.8, which is really a trap by Syndrome to lure supers to their doom. They escort Mr. Incredible to his hotel room on the island.

Many security guards were killed or injured when the Incredibles infiltrated Syndrome's base in Nomanisan Island and for good reason by trying to kill children without regret. Two guards were thrown to the water by Mr. Incredible and two more were killed when Mr. Incredible threw a vehicle and it crashed them, then Mr. Incredible threw a coconut hitting one guard in the head, knocking him unconscious. Elastigirl also encountered and overthrew five of them, first by punching two more in the face when her waist was trapped by a door, one guard touched her waist with his weapon and Elastigirl kicked his face with her leg so hard that he almost lost all his teeth and lost control of his weapon firing bullets, one of them touched a button which opened the door, causing her body to slam two more other guards with her legs and hide most of the unconscious forms in their lockers. Several guards were killed while trying to capture Dash and the Violet. At the end Mr. Incredible knocked some guards in his way to take a caravan and most of the guards escaped, unnoticed.

The fate of the guards still remaining at the base after Syndrome's death is that they were all incarcerated by the government as stated by Rick Dicker "We've frozen all of Syndrome's assets."

Trivia[]

  • The Wilhelm scream can be heard when the family take out some of the guards after they reunite.
  • Brad Bird stated that Syndromes' guards were written to try to kill the Parr children because he found the message of bad guys being incompetent and unwilling to hurt children to be a bad message to tell people.
  • The Guards were voiced by:
  • The submachine guns wielded by the guards appear to be the M3 "Grease Gun".
  • The Syndrome Guards are similar to The Lemons, some Next-Gen Racers (especially Rust-Eze Racing Center Rookies) and The Road Rumblers from Cars 2, Cars 3, Cars on the Road and the Security Guards from Coco.
