Andrea McArdle is an American actress and singer, who for Disney, appeared as herself in Christmas at Walt Disney World. In 1999, she played Belle in the Broadway musical Beauty and the Beast. The same year, she made a cameo appearance as "Star-to-Be" in the TV movie Annie.
McArdle was born in Philadelphia and got her start with commercials before getting a break on Broadway playing the titular role of Annie. The musical was a critical and commercial smash and she became the youngest performer ever to be nominated for a Tony Award as Best Lead Actress in a Musical. She would go on to various stage productions, like Annie Get Your Gun, The Vagina Monologues, Grease, Anything Goes, Mame, Hello Dolly, Starlight Express, Cabaret, Les Misérables, State Fair, Oliver!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Fantasticks, Evita, Gypsy, NEWSical the Musical, and 2 Across. She has also performed in showrooms for casino hotels in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and clubs in Manhattan.
She appeared several times on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1977-1979, and The Mike Douglas Show 1977-1980 singing with Kristy McNichol, Stephanie Mills, Liberace, and Don Rickles.
