Michael Bolotin, better known as Michael Bolton, is an American singer-songwriter and musician, who contributed to the song, "Go the Distance", for the end credits of the 1997 Disney animated film Hercules, which became a commercial success and Bolton's last hit in the U.S. He also sang the song at the 1998 Academy Awards. He also portrayed himself in Ted Brooks' crazy dream in Disney's 2002 comedy film Snow Dogs, appearing on the album cover of Time, Love & Tenderness giving Ted advice to still have soul no matter what color he is, as well as having a blue cheese cookie from him. Some of his songs such as his cover of "When a Man Loves a Woman" were heard playing in the movie since it was mentioned that Ted Brooks always liked him and his songs. In 1991, Bolton was the production designer of Disney's White Fang and Treasure Buddies in 2012. In Simply Mad About the Mouse, Michael Bolton sings "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes".
