"The Silver Fox and Sam Davenport" is an episode of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color. It aired on October 14, 1962. It was later theatrically released in 1972 in the U.S.A. and with the 1970 John Wayne movie Rio Lobo in the UK.
Synopsis[]
Hunter Sam gains respect for a clever fox who wants to keep his pelt. In turn-of-the-century New England, a fox escapes a foxhunt by jumping on a farmer's haywagon. A comical pursuit follows as the farmer recognizes the value of the stowaway and begins his own foxhunt.
