Schoolhouse Rock Live! is a musical adaptation of Schoolhouse Rock!, originally directed by Scott Ferguson. The musical premiered at the Cabaret Voltaire in Chicago on August 26, 1993, before touring across the United States as well as off-Broadway at the Lambs' Theatre.
The musical was also adapted into a book by Scott Ferguson, George Keating and Kyle Hall.
Plot[]
Tom is a young teacher who is nervous about his first day of school. He tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality (George, Dina, Joe, Shulie and Dori) emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music.
Schoolhouse Rock Live! Junior is a shortened adaptation of Schoolhouse Rock Live!, performed by children.
Sequel[]
"Schoolhouse Rock Live, Too!" was created by the same team. The plot follows Nina, the owner of the fading "Conjunction Junction Diner." She receives help from Tom, Julie the waitress, regular customer Lucky, Chef Cookie, and country singer Rebecca.
