Roseanne Cherrie Barr is an American actress, voice actress, comedian, writer, television producer, director, and the 2012 presidential nominee of the California-based Peace and Freedom Party. She was best known for her role as the titular character Roseanne Conner of the ABC sitcom Roseanne from 1988 to 1997. After a two-decade hiatus, her show got a revival from March 27 to May 22 of 2018. Unfortunately, it was then abruptly canceled again on May 27 of that year following a controversial tweet that she had sent on Twitter that was deemed by many as coming off as racist. As a result, the Rosseanne revival was cancelled, and instead, a new spin-off series titled The Conners was released instead to serve as a replacement to the short-lived revival. The spin-off had then went on without Barr's presence or personal involvement in the project, and as such, while her character had been mentioned, she ultimately never appeared and was ultimately removed from the new series altogether.
For Disney, she played Dot in the 1995 Miramax film Blue in the Face. She also voiced Maggie in the 2004 Disney animated feature film Home on the Range.
