Sara Elena Ramírez is a Mexican-American actor, singer-songwriter, and activist, who is best known for their role as Dr. Callie Torres in the ABC medical drama series Grey's Anatomy from 2006 to 2016, and as the original Lady of the Lake in the 2005 Broadway musical Spamalot, for which they won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Following their departure from Grey's Anatomy, Ramirez came out as bisexual and later non-binary, using they/them pronouns. They later portrayed the bisexual, non-binary roles of Kat Sandoval in Madam Secretary and Che Diaz in And Just Like That..., the revival of Sex and the City, respectively.
For Disney, they provided the voice of Queen Miranda in the Disney Junior television series Sofia the First and Mama Calaca in Vampirina.
