"Planet of the Plants" is the second segment of the seventh episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on March 20, 2015 alongside "Happy Captain's Day".

Plot[]

In the Stellosphere's bio-garden, Miles and M.E.R.C. are playing catch with Miles' Lazerang, disturbing the Callisto family, including Loretta, who is busy studying tomatoes. After Miles catches his Lazerang again, he accidentally trips and ruins the tomatoes, which Loretta has been studying for weeks as part of a science experiment for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. After the two argue about not listening to each other, Leo informs them of cosmic explorer rule #37: listen. This is a short rule, so Phoebe says it should be easy to remember. Stella then informs the Callistos about a call from the TTA. Admirals Watson and Crick then inform the Callistos about their next mission: to go to planet Antheia, which has orange plants because it orbits around a blue star, and see if it is a good planet to live on. During the briefing, Crick agrees to raise his hand every time he wants to talk, but does not do so when he mentions about the TTA building a new city there. With the mission received, the Callistos take the Stellosphere near the planet and use the Star Jetter to land there.

Miles and M.E.R.C. are impressed about how great the planet is, and Leo decides to team up with Phoebe while leaving Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. by themselves to spend some time together. Loretta is about to find out which way to go when Miles and M.E.R.C. quickly find out, much to the dismay of Loretta, who has not finished charting the course yet. Unbeknownst to them, the plants recognize this and move. Meanwhile, Leo and Phoebe find a baby seedling and decide to take him back to the Admirals when the plants there recognize and move, as well. Miles then oversees a great view of the planet, and eventually decides to help Loretta. Shortly afterwards, Loretta notices that the plants are alive, and take their things, including their Questcoms. The two then chase the plants, and eventually hear the sound the plants make. Loretta finds out through her Bracelex that that is how the plants talk to each other and tries to translate what they are saying when Miles tells her that they do not need a translation for what the plants are forming, but Loretta still ignores Miles. Eventually, Loretta finishes the translation, which is "go that way", much to the dismay of Miles.

Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. then meet up with the leader of the plants and prepare something to say to him. The leader does not understand what Miles says, so M.E.R.C. suggests that they show them what they are saying. Miles then shows him if this planet is good for people like them to live on. The leader does understand, and does not like it, according to Loretta. At that time, Phoebe and Leo take the baby seedling back in the Star Jetter, which really infuriates the plants. Loretta then translates what the plants are saying, which is "get them". Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. quickly run away from the plants.

The plants then destroy the Callistos' equipment, and Leo and Phoebe manage to get inside the Star Jetter and close it before the plants can get inside. After they fail to contact Miles and Loretta, they try to get them themselves by activating the ship's engines. Miles and Loretta then hop on M.E.R.C., who activates his turbo boosters. Leo increases the Star Jetter's power to maximum, but the ship still can not take off. Phoebe then notices Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. heading their way. However, a plant snatches Loretta and hangs her upside down. Leo and Phoebe then exit the Star Jetter. Loretta then understands what the plants are saying, which is to give them back their baby. Leo then understands that the baby was the seedling he and Phoebe put in the Star Jetter, and go back for it.

After they place the seedling back where it belongs, the plant puts Loretta down, and the Callistos are confronted by the leader. Loretta understands that the plants will let the Callistos go if the TTA does not build on their planet, and want them to respect it. After Phoebe promises the plants that nothing gets built on the planet, the other plants give Miles and Loretta their Questcoms back.

Back in the Stellosphere's bio-garden, Miles hangs the tomatoes with his Blastbuckle tether when Loretta tells him to do so. Miles tells her that that is his kind of gardening.
