Tattypoo is the white-haired Good Witch of the North from The Wizard of Oz. In the original novel, she was unnamed. She was referred to as "Locasta" in the 1902 stage adaptation, but this name was not used for the character anywhere else in the Oz franchise, especially the "Oz" novels, having appearing sometimes as a one-joke character. Her name "Tattypoo" was finally revealed in the twenty-second Oz novel, The Giant Horse of Oz. In the 1939 well-known MGM film adaptation, the Good Witch of the North was removed her role was played by Glinda.
Tattypoo was played by Miss Piggy (voiced by Eric Jacobson) in The Muppets' Wizard of Oz. She likes the Munchkins very much and enjoys coming in for a cuddle or two. She also likes penguins. Tattypoo and her sisters, the Wicked Witch of the East, the Wicked West of the West and Glinda the Good Witch of the South were once a pop singing group entitled the Four Little Pigs.
