"Ocean in Motion" is the first segment of the second episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on February 6, 2015 alongside "Explorer Exchange".

Plot[]

Miles and M.E.R.C. are flying through the halls when Miles falls off his Blastboard while trying to do a trick. Miles then chases the Blastboard, which crashes into Loretta's room. Miles grabs his Blastboard and stops it, causing it to close the cabinets and the glow gum to go out. Miles had been wondering where Loretta kept her glow gum, and M.E.R.C. helps himself. Just then they hear Loretta coming. Miles and M.E.R.C. quickly leave before she arrives to see the mess in her room.

Miles then asks Phoebe and Leo about any missions he and M.E.R.C. could go on when an angry Loretta shows up with Miles' Blastboard. She accuses them of messing up her room and helping themselves to her glow gum. Just then, Admirals Watson and Crick hail the Callistos. They inform them that contact with a solar station sent to planet Kalandra has been lost. The Admirals also explain that Kalandra is a perfect location for a solar station and that it is a completely dry planet; it gets no rain. This is not to be confused with its brother planet next to it, Aldora, which is a world covered in water. The Callistos then take the Stellosphere to the planet and take the Star Jetter the rest of the way.

During the trip, Loretta is still mad at Miles. Phoebe tells Miles that the two planets are like brother and sister; they are different, but still coexisting peacefully. When the Callistos land on Kalandra, they find the solar station gone so they split up to find it. Phoebe, Loretta, and Leo take the Scout while Miles goes with M.E.R.C. Loretta then finds something strange which turns out to be seaweed. Leo and Phoebe think that is not possible. Meanwhile, M.E.R.C. finds the solar station, and Miles calls the Callistos to meet them there.

Once the Callistos gather where Miles is, they discover what made the station disappear. It was a flood from the water on Kalandra's brother planet, Aldora, that occurred on Kalandra's nighttime. The theory instantly proves right when a flood that they escape just in time occurs. All the sights they see in the water leave them amazed. However, Leo is unable to take the Star Jetter off of the planet, because its boosters only last for a few seconds underwater. They eventually come up with a plan to escape that they execute while the water is in transition between the two planets. They plan to let the water take them out of the planet. When the water takes them to about midway through, it should be shallow enough so that a few seconds of booster power may be enough to blast them free.

After the water takes them in between the two planets, Leo activates the Star Jetter's boosters. The ship almost gets frozen over, but Leo manages to pilot it out of the water. After the Callistos get back, they make their report to the Admirals and Loretta and Miles reconcile. Loretta also agrees to share some space with Miles and M.E.R.C., as long as they do not Blastboard in there. Miles then tells her that they should replace her glow gum, and Loretta thanks them just as M.E.R.C. pops another one.
