Kristin Dawn Chenoweth is an American actress and singer, who is best known for her lead role as Galinda (later known as Glinda) in the stage musical Wicked. Other Broadway credits include Precious McGuire in Steel Pier, Louise Goldman in Epic Proportions, Eve and other characters in The Apple Tree, Fran Kubelik in Promises, Promises, and Lily Garland in On the Twentieth Century. She also won a Tony Award for her voice role as Sally Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Additionally, she voiced Gabi the (allegedly) poison dart frog in the 2014 Blue Sky Studios film Rio 2, Abby the pygmy jerboa in the Sony Pictures animated biblical comedy film The Star, and Princess Skystar in My Little Pony: The Movie (both released in 2017). She also appeared in Sesame Street, where she played Mr. Noodle's sister, Ms. Noodle in a few Elmo's World segments and related videos.

For Disney, she portrayed Lily St. Regis in the 1999 TV film Annie and later went on to play Marian Paroo in the 2003 telefilm adaptation of The Music Man. At the 2008 Academy Awards, she performed the nominated song "That's How You Know" from Enchanted with Marlon Saunders and an ensemble of dancers playing parkgoers in Central Park (since Amy Adams, who sang the song in the film, had already performed "Happy Working Song" earlier in the ceremony). She also provided the voice of Rosetta in the 2008 CGI film Tinker Bell and some of its sequels. Additionally, she voiced the Museum Guide in Fillmore!, the Sugar Plum Fairy in the 2015 CGI film Strange Magic, and portrayed Georgia King in the 2010 Touchstone Pictures film You Again and Maleficent in the Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants.

She also appeared in The Muppets episode "The Ex-Factor" and played Diane in the ABC TV show Ugly Betty and Carlene Cockburn in GCB.
