The Junkyard Cars are minor characters in The Brave Little Toaster. They are a group of scrapped cars who live in the junkyard of Ernie's Disposal.

Role in the film

When Toaster and the other appliances are sent to the junkyard, they watch in awe as several cars are loaded onto a large conveyor belt by the Giant Magnet and killed by Crusher. The cars being loaded onto the belt sing the song "Worthless," where they each tell their respective story of how they ended up in the junkyard.

The cars heard singing in "Worthless" include a Blue Sedan, a Pink Convertible, a Red Corvette, an Old Race Car, a Yellow Limousine, a Hearse, a Yellow Woody-Wagon, and a Green Pickup Truck. Several other cars also have minor speaking roles/lines in the film.

Trivia

• In the book the movie is adapted from, none of the cars are even implied to be sentient as none have any speaking lines with the main characters.
  • When Blanky is thrown from the garbage truck in the book, he lands on a car that is described as being a "57' Ford."
    • The Pink Convertible in the movie shares a minor resemblance to a 1957 Ford Fairlane.
• In the Latin Spanish, Ukrainian, Hungarian, and Czech VHS dub, the brown car has a female voice.
• In the Russian, German, Dutch DVD, Hebrew, and Ukrainian dub, the racing car has a female voice.
• In the Hungarian dub, the hearse has a female voice.
• In the Icelandic DVD and Danish dub, the woody wagon has a male voice.
• In the Brazilian Portuguese dub, the hearse and the green pickup truck have female voices while the woody wagon has a male voice.
  • Interestingly, in some versions of the Brazilian Portuguese dub, the woody wagon's voice changes back to female halfway through it's solo.
• In the Serbian (Croatian) dub, the yellow limousine has a male voice.
