Terrence Dashon Howard is an American actor, voice actor, singer-songwriter, and record producer, who has had prominent roles in films, such as Winnie, Ray, Lackawanna Blues, Crash, and Four Brothers. He also played James Rhodes in the 2008 Marvel Studios film Iron Man before being replaced by Don Cheadle in subsequent films since Iron Man 2.
For Disney, he played Louis Russ in Mr. Holland's Opus and Cowboy in Dead Presidents. He also provided the voice of James in Disney's 2009 animated feature film The Princess and the Frog.

- Howard was fired from Marvel Studios ahead of Iron Man 2 due to finding out he would have a pay cut and declined it. Ironically, one of the lines said by Rhodey in that film is "next time, baby" referring to getting his own Iron Man suit, but it would end up being Don Cheadle's version of War Machine who would get the suit.
- Both his characters in Disney have the same first name: James.
