The Mouse's Tale is a deleted scene from Dumbo, in which Timothy Q. Mouse gives a "history" lesson to Dumbo, after he spooks the other elephants out of revenge for picking on Dumbo.
Synopsis[]
Timothy Mouse explains to Dumbo that in prehistoric times, elephants were larger and had more fur, and mice were even larger (a hundred times larger than a big top tent, according to Timothy), who would chase the elephants and toy with them, in a similar manner to a cat and a mouse.
While mice became much smaller over the years, Timothy believes this to be why elephants are still scared of mice to this day, despite being much larger than them now.
Disney Animation producer Don Hahn believes that the reason this scene was cut was because it distracted from the main story of the film.
