One afternoon; Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Rabbit are playing a round of Squishball (which is their version of baseball). Halfway through the game they realize Christopher Robin who's suppose to be the referee isn't here so they go to his house to check on him. Once at his house they find Christopher Robin dressed for an occasion where he reveals that he was invited to a fancy party by a girl. However he doesn't want to go because of the way he's suppose to dress and eat (even going so far as to facade having measles). Wanting to help their friend, the four decide to teach Christopher Robin some lessons in manners. Rabbit firstly starts with showing Christopher Robin how to eat and drink like a proper gentleman which is hindered by Tigger's messy manners. Christopher also reveals that he can't dance and Tigger helps by making some dance steps on the floor using mud. While Christopher Robin gets the hang of it, he later trips and falls after getting off balance. Eventually after a few lessons, Christopher Robin is ready to go to the party with the four dressed for the occasion. However, he reveals that the invitation was meant for him and thus he has to go to the party by himself, much to the group's worry.
Back at Rabbit's house, the four become worried that Christopher Robin may not have time for them anymore now that he's going to a party to meet girls. Tigger even goes so far as to envision Christopher Robin's new life with a new house and family (even casting himself and Gopher as his new wife and baby). After the fantasy ends, Rabbit decides that they need to host a party themselves so they can get Christopher Robin back but first they need a new house. Hearing this, Gopher has blueprints for a new house originally designed for one of his relatives and the group quickly get to work.
Finding an open field to build, Rabbit orders Tigger and Gopher to construct the house (after Tigger sends the party invitation to Christopher Robin) and sends Pooh and Piglet to work on the exterior. Once much of the house is completed, Rabbit sends Pooh and Piglet to find a girl to invite to the party. Since the two haven't seen a girl before, the best Pooh and Piglet could come up with is fixing up a scarecrow to make it look like a girl. After the chimney on the house is complete, the group gets dress up for the party and wait for Christopher Robin.
When they arrive at the door, the moment Pooh knocks on the door knocker, the house shakes and collapses on itself reducing it to a pile of bricks and wood. Right then, Christopher Robin arrives but is shocked to see the mess. Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Rabbit eventually confess that they hosted the party because they didn't want to lose him, even going as far as to invite a girl to the party. Christopher Robin however confides to the group saying that even though he will grow up eventually, he'll still remember them as his friends as they are special to him. He is also surprised to learn that they invited a girl over and the group takes him to the scarecrow that Pooh and Piglet dressed up for the party. Taking the manners he learned to heart, Christopher Robin confidently walks up to the scarecrow and asks her for a dance.

Trivia[]
Pooh says he can't recall ever seeing a girl before, but he and his friends already know Kanga (not appearing in this episode), who is the only female of the group.
In this episode, Christopher Robin says he'll never be too grown up to not have time for Pooh and the gang, when in real life, the actual Christopher Robin grew up resenting his father's stories.
However, the live-action film Christopher Robin showed that, by the time of the film's events, a grown-up Christopher hadn't seen Pooh and the gang for almost 30 years.
