"George of the Jungle" is the opening theme song of the 1997 film of the same name.
In the first film, it was performed by the Presidents of the United States of America and by Weird Al Yankovic, while the sequel film was performed by Jeff Scott Soto.

- The version played in the films changes one of the main lyrics from the original cartoon. The line "And his elephant, Shep / Can fetch a log / He's man's best friend / He's George's dog!" originally was "And away he'll schlep / on his elephant Shep / While Fella and Ursula / stay in step!" This was most likely changed to accommodate the film's plot where Ursula meets George for the first time. The Weird Al version faithfully retains this lyric.
- The version played in the sequel also modified the lyrics for one of the verses in order to accommodate the film's plot of George struggling between his duties of fatherhood and king of the jungle which is made worse by Ursula's evil mother Beatrice Stanhope plotting to break up him and Ursula apart via hypnotism.
- The Presidents of America's version of the theme song is also accompanied with a music video which is animated very faithfully to the original 1967 Jay Ward cartoon.
