Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC, is a Canadian-American actress, comedian, singer, screenwriter, and television personality. She is best known for her comedy work on SCTV Network (19761984) and Schitt's Creek (20152020). She landed her first significant role in 1975, starring opposite John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, as Myrna Wallbacker in the children's CBC sitcom Coming Up Rosie. She also portrayed Gail in the 1985 black comedy film After Hours, Delia Deetz in the 1988 fantasy horror comedy film Beetlejuice, Kate McCallister in the first two Home Alone films, and voiced Penny the porcupine in the 2006 DreamWorks animated film Over the Hedge and Kaossandra in the Skylanders spin-off television series Skylanders Academy.

For Disney, she portrayed Texie Garcia in the 1990 Touchstone Pictures film Dick Tracy, Gloria Henner in Betsy's Wedding, April Simon in A Simple Twist of Fate, and Calamity Jane in Tall Tale. She also voiced Sally and Shock in Tim Burton's 1993 stop-motion musical fantasy film The Nightmare Before Christmas, Tina in the 2005 Disney animated feature film Chicken Little, Kata in Brother Bear 2, and Susan Frankenstein, Weird Girl, and the Gym Teacher in Frankenweenie. Additionally, she voiced Morgana in Sofia the First, narrated the 2020 Circle-Vision 360° film Canada: Far and Wide for Epcot's Canada Pavilion, and voiced Brook Ripple in Disney/Pixar's 2023 film Elemental.
