Delroy George Lindo is an English-American actor, voice actor, and theatre director. Lindo has been nominated for the Tony and Screen Actors Guild awards and has won a Satellite Award. He is perhaps best known for his roles in a trio of Spike Lee films, especially as West Indian Archie in Lee's Malcolm X (1992), Woody Carmichael in Crooklyn (1994), Catlett in Get Shorty, and Arthur Rose in The Cider House Rules. Lindo also starred as Alderman Ronin Gibbons in the TV series The Chicago Code (2011) and as Winter in the TV series Believe, which premiered in 2014.
For Disney, he voiced Beta in Disney/Pixar's Up (2009) and portrayed FBI Special Agent Lonnie Hawkins in the 1996 Touchstone Pictures film Ransom. He worked for Touchstone Pictures again as Detective Roland Castlebeck in the 2000 film Gone in 60 Seconds. He also portrayed Tip Harrison in the ABC TV show Blood & Oil. He will portray a to-be-confirmed character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Blade.
