Ciarán Hinds is an Irish film, television, and stage actor.
His notable film and television roles include The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (with Helen Mirren), Aberforth Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2, Gaius Julius Caesar in the first season of HBO's Rome (with Kevin McKidd, Ray Stevenson, James Purefoy, and Polly Walker), and Mance Rayder in HBO's Game of Thrones.
For Disney, he played the role of Henry Burke in Disney's 2009 science fiction/thriller movie Race to Witch Mountain and Tardos Mors in the 2012 film John Carter. He also voiced Pabbie the Troll King in the 2013 Disney animated feature film Frozen and its 2019 sequel. Additionally for Touchstone Pictures, he played John Traynor in the 2003 film Veronica Guerin and Rod Harper in Calendar Girls that same year.
