Michelle Christine Trachtenberg is an American actress and model, who is best known for her roles as Nona F. Mecklenberg in the 1991 to 1996 comedy series The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Harriet M. Welsch in the 1996 comedy film Harriet the Spy, Dawn Summers in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer from 2000 to 2003 and Georgina Sparks in The CW teen drama series Gossip Girl from 2008 to 2011.
For Disney, she played Penny in the 1999 live-action film version of Inspector Gadget and Casey Carlyle in the 2005 Disney figure-skating film Ice Princess.

- Michelle Trachtenberg was considered for the role of Anna Coleman in the 2003 Disney film Freaky Friday, but had to back out, due to her contractual obligations to Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997).
