A sticker promoting "Bats Day in the Fun Park"
Bats Day is a three-day weekend event in August for members of the Goth sub-culture, that started in 1999 by promoters from two goth/industrial nightclubs in Southern California, "Absynthe" located in Hollywood and "Release The Bats" in Long Beach. One of the highlights of the event is a visit to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure on Sunday, which follows the Pre-Events not held at Disneyland on Friday and Saturday which feature parties and music. Disney itself is not affiliated with the events. Among the general traditions of the event include a group ride on The Haunted Mansion and getting pictures taken with Disney Villains.
