Ashley Suzanne Johnson is an American actress and voice actress, who is best known for her television role as Christine "Chrissy" Seaver in the ABC sitcom Growing Pains (1990–1992), and for voicing Terra in DC Comics' Teen Titans, Gwen Tennyson in Cartoon Network's Ben 10 franchise since Alien Force. She is also known for voicing Ellie Williams in Naughty Dog's The Last of Us video game franchise and Pike Trickfoot and Yasha Nydoorin in the Dungeons & Dragons web series Critical Role and Petra in Minecraft: Story Mode.
Born in Camarillo, California, Johnson is of Norwegian, Scottish, and Swedish descent. She has an older brother and older sister named Chris and Haylie (respectively), both of whom have also worked as actors. Her father was often away for months at a time and would bring back souvenirs from other countries, such as Japan. He started a new job about nine days after Johnson was born and subsequently moved the family to Franklin, Michigan, where they lived for a few years before returning to California and settling in Los Angeles. Johnson attended school in nearby Burbank and later studied violin and piano at the International School of Music in Glendale. When she was 16, her father died of complications from hepatitis C and liver and lung cancer.
