Fabienne Kaye Growley grew up in the frigid Tundratown District of Zootopia with her parents, Bernard and Elsa Growley, and two brothers, Richard and Kyle. They lived in a small but cozy igloo-style house near the Wintergreen Plaza, where they sometimes went to eat fresh-cooked fish and small birds.
When Fabienne was seven, her brother Richard took a job at the local cannery packaging assorted seafood for delivery to the city's restaurants and stores, when he worked until he graduated high school. When she was eleven, Kyle volunteered for the district Ice Cutters Association and began an apprenticeship to become an ice sculptor.
As for herself, Fabienne decided to follow in her grandfather's pawsteps and become a news anchor. She took speech courses in high school and drama in college, and after posting a few of her own independent news flashes on the local media and social network the ZNN caught wind of her and practically begged her on bent knee to join their ranks. She was twenty-three years old, the youngest reporter to ever anchor a major news broadcast network.
She now co-anchors with Peter Moosebridge, one of the most prominent reporters in the history of the network.
Role in the Film
Fabienne Growley makes two appearances in the film. She first appears during the film's climax, announcing the bad news with her co-anchor - another attack involving a predator going savage during the week following Judy Hopps' announcement, as well as an unfortunate incident at Gazelle's peace rally.
Growley later appears near the end of the film, announcing that Bellwether is now behind bars after being exposed as the mastermind behind the attacks plaguing the city, while Moosebridge covers Mayor Lionheart's denial of said scheme. Growley also mentions that physicians have developed a remedy for the night howlers, and all the predators who have been afflicted are now being treated.
