Ewan Gordon McGregor OBE (born March 31, 1971) is a Scottish actor and singer who has had success in mainstream, indie, and art house films and is best known for his roles as Mark Renton in Trainspotting and its sequel, T2 Trainspotting, as Christian in Moulin Rouge!, as young Edward Bloom in Tim Burton's Big Fish, as Dr. Alfred Jones in Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, and as Emmit and Ray Stussy in the third season of FX's Fargo.

He voiced Valiant in the film of the same name and portrayed a younger Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequels, a role he later briefly reprised for a voiceover alongside his predecessor, Sir Alec Guinness, in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He portrayed Lumière in the 2017 remake of Beauty and the Beast. McGregor is set to play Christopher Robin in the upcoming film of the same name.[1]
