A Disney character is any character that appears in Disney media.

In the parks, a character refers to any Disney employee (known as "cast members") that dresses up in a character costume in order to entertain park guests. "Fur characters" or "atmosphere characters" (such as Mickey, Goofy) are characters whose costumes covers the cast member's face. These characters interact with guests through hand, arm, and leg movements. "Face characters" (such as the Princesses) are characters whose costumes do not cover the cast member's faces, and are free to speak with guests as that character.
