Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is a hotel at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It opened in 1984 as the Emerald Hotel of Anaheim, eventually becoming the Pan Pacific Hotel. In 1995, Disney purchased it and changed its name to Disneyland Pacific Hotel. In 2001, its acquired its current name, as it overlooks Paradise Pier at the then-newly-opened Disney's California Adventure.
The hotel complex consists of a high-rise guest room with 489 rooms, which includes 29 suites. An oddity of it is the presence of a 13th floor, a rarity in the United States due to the "unlucky number" superstition associated with the number 13. At the base of the tower is a lobby, restaurants, a gift shop, recreational facilities including video arcades, over 30,000 square feet (3,000 m2) for a meeting space, and a 7,250-square-foot (670 m2) ballroom. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and a California Screamin' themed water slide located on the third floor.
