Dennis William Quaid (born April 9, 1954) is an American actor known for his comedic and dramatic roles. First gaining widespread attention in the 1980s, his career rebounded in the 1990s after he overcame an addiction to drugs and an eating disorder. He is the younger brother of Randy Quaid. His only two Disney roles so far are Nick Parker in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap and Jim Morris in The Rookie. He was also a guest star on Muppets Tonight in Episode 207. He also played Dexter Cornell in the 1988 Touchstone Pictures film D.O.A., Cooper Tilson in the 2003 Touchstone Pictures film Cold Creek Manor, and Sam Houston in the 2004 Touchstone Pictures film The Alamo.
