Charles Dawson "Daws" Butler was an American voice actor who specialized in voicing animated films and television series. He worked mostly for the Hanna-Barbera animation production company where he originated the voices of many familiar characters, including Wally Gator, Yogi Bear, Elroy Jetson, Quick Draw McGraw, Snagglepuss, Spike the Bulldog, and Huckleberry Hound. He also did the voice of Karlos K. Krinklebine from the 1971 animated TV special version of The Cat in the Hat.

His only known work for Disney was voicing a Penguin Waiter and a Turtle in Mary Poppins, and also Reason in Understanding Alcohol Use and Abuse.

Along with Mel Blanc, Stan Freberg, Paul Frees, and June Foray, Butler also provided voices for countless children's records featuring recreations of several successful Disney cartoons and films.

Butler also taught and mentored other aspiring voice actors in a converted studio workshop at his Beverly Hills home, Corey Burton and Nancy Cartwright among them.
